• Hi Roy,

We wanted to thank you for the caravan, we just love it.

When we decided that maybe it was time to replace the caravan that we
had owned for nearly 10 years, we spent considerable time looking at
manufacturers in Campbellfield, trying to find a quality, innovative
caravan builder. We finally decided to just keep our existing caravan,
as all they were doing was making them primarily in the same way that
they had been built for the last 40 years.

After meeting you and seeing the quality and innovation you put into
your caravans, we were excited with the possibilities for our next
caravan. Now after using our new caravan for 10 days we simply love it.
The space created by not having wheel arches is amazing, and we really
appreciate your offer to create a caravan without them. The batteries
make the energy management so easy, and charge incredibly fast compared
to the deep cycle batteries we have previously used. The hydraulic jacks
and electric jockey wheel make setting up a breeze, and you get to meet
lots of people who see them and want to talk. One of the biggest
advantages over our last caravan is not needing those clunky, heavy
level rides which we hated putting on/off, and storing when we arrived
at our destination. The van tows amazingly well, it just sits straight
behind the car with no sway tendencies at all. Another great feature is
the generator slide, which makes it easy to use the microwave for a
couple of minutes when staying off power. We were wondering about the
mattress as it so much firmer than the one we have at home, but it’s
exactly as you said it would be – very comfortable.

Please pass our thanks on to William as he suggested a number of design
changes that worked out very well. Also to Michael for all of his help,
and finally John who has been fabulous to deal with.

  • Hi Tarrot, We had our van’s 1000km service done this week and wanted to compliment you on the most friendly and efficient service that we received from all at Sunland and especially from Bob.
He was most obliging and addressed all our queries with a great attitude towards customers.
    Thanks Bob Kingston

  • No big fish photos yet but just a quick note to say how pleased we are with our new Phoenix.

After a few minor adjustments at the weighbridge, the van is travelling so well, we are already planning our next around Australia trip.

This time we can confidently visit all the off road tracks that we missed in 2006.

Thanks again to your dedicated team for producing a caravan which I believe is the best available.

  • We picked up our Scorpion Super Gunbarrel last August and drove it home to SA.

We took a route via Innaminka, so gave the van a real test on some very bad roads.  Not a speck of dust came inside the van – fantastic.

Last summer we made three short trips in SA, camping for the most part in National Parks – thanks to the wonderful SA National Parks pass, and free camps. Everything in our van works perfectly, we’ve managed to give it a good test.

Itching now to get on to that big trip, living in our van for an extended period. We just love our van, and it gets so many compliments.

  • I have been towing trailers and caravans for over forty years I have never towed anything that tows as well as my Sunland Longreach.

  • If you thought the royal wedding was good. Well our day was better…

WE Strolled into Sunland and took possession of our new… THE Very first one… PATRIOT LT…  WHAT A beautiful piece of work…

The last couple of weeks we’ve been in and out of Sunland watching the guys at work. The first thing you notice is how proud of their work they are … From Roy to all the guys in the workshop. (and don’t forget Noel, she does all the upholstery… AND to perfection). One day we walked in and Brenda remarked “maybe we should have had a couple more cupboards here”… NOTHING Was said…

HOWEVER, two days later we put our heads through the van door… AND There were the extra cupboards. Nothing was too much trouble to them and we were always welcome. Roy and the staff have been fabulous. It was really great for two women in their 60′s to walk in and be treated with such respect. (anyone who read my past comments on the forum will know that in the past some places didn’t give us that respect, when we first started searching for a new van).

We hitched up the van and headed off up the D’Aguilar highway to Woodford and the Prado didn’t miss a beat, the van sat really great. I’m really going to enjoy towing this van around Australia. The inside features are just perfect.

If you’d like to see the van just call Roy, we’re about 20mins from Sunland and your welcome, and we’ll be very proud to show you.

  • We’re back home after about 10000km. Just a short trip and we’re raring to get going again.

We made it out through Dalby, Roma, Carnarvon Gorge, Mitchell, CharIeville, Quilpie, Noccundra, Nappa Merrie, lnnamincka then back through Thargomindah, Bollon Texas, Ballina and down the coast to North Haven then home.

Thanks for all the help from Cisco along the way, sorry for a lot of silly questions. I’m still learning a thing or two. Thanks lan too. The van has gone really well and I’m gaining heaps of confidence, I’ve been a bit cautious to start with but we’ve realIy got into the corrugations and bull dust with no real visible signs of dust getting into the van. The dust pressuriser seems to be really doing the trick,

We’ve certainly had a fantastic time on our first trip thanks to the way you guys have put our van together.

  • You need to let people know that the Blue Heeler is a serious off roader.

  • For many years the caravan industry was tied down by the conception “new ideas was not good” and shod any European or USA idea of design or construction. I am pleased to say that I don’t count you in that category.

  • Since we took delivery of our Phoenix Federation Nomad caravan in October 2007, we have been on the road almost continuously.

Our Phoenix has now covered 17000kms of varied terrain – we have free camped approx 1/3 of our travel time and found all the features of our van to work to a very high standard. Particularly the in-house integrated solar system.

We have no hesitation in recommending the Phoenix caravan to anyone and would welcome any prospective buyer contacting us for our opinion.

  • We looked into buying a van two years ago, we looked at all brands and makes. The first van was a Sunland, then we walked through, looked around and most importantly under the vans. We now have owned two vans both from Sunland and honestly we will never buy another brand. Hopefully the next will be the Winton.

The sales and after sales service is great, John and Roy really do know what they are talking about, no rubbish but just facts and a top product. Admin – Cheryl is wonderful, always just a phone call away. Roy, John and Cheryl THANK YOU we thought we needed to write to you to express our satisfaction and how proud we are when we are travelling down the highway with the Sunland in tow. Anyone thinking of buying I would welcome the opportunity to tell them of our satisfaction and how happy we are.

Once again THANK YOU and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.

  • After years of visiting the caravan show and the endless shuffle in and out of vans it all fell into place when we were taken through your Emerald 20 ft which was on display. We just loved it. Despite being fans of the XXXXX for years, we discovered a van with comparable build quality, but better layout and more room. We couldn’t get over the insulated ensuite and solid timber cabinetry. I was extremely impressed with the size of the boot!

  • This is just a note to let you know we’ve been travelling. All told we have done 14000km in the van.

This trip we’ve travelled down the east coast as far as Hobart, up through the centre from Adelaide to Darwin.

The only problem we’ve experienced is a blown light globe (and we know you didn’t manufacture the bulb), and the van has been towing beautifully …

We are extremely happy with the van. We don’t feel as though we have been roughing it at all. It is very comfortable.

  • Why anyone would consider another brand of Caravan is beyond me! there is nothing else to compare.

  • The Winton has proved to be a excellent of road caravan. Both Helen and I are extremely impressed in its performance and how well it travels across the outback roads. We have no hesitations in telling other caravanners how well it travels. The suspension has been excellent.
